The THREES
Teamwork and Self Expression

The three-year-old program
continues the development of social skills through the teaching of problem solving and conflict resolution
strategies.
The program begins the teaching of formal Language Arts and Math Concepts.
Language Arts skills focus on successfully identifying all upper case letters in the alphabet and the introduction
to the beginning sounds.
Math concepts focus on counting 1-10 by rote, grasping how
much each number represents, and successfully counting with one-to-one correspondence.

The children are expected to master their basic colors and shapes,
and begin following two step directions, as well as, completing patterns. Structured and independent art projects
are include as part of every weeks curriculum.

The children are given specific jobs and begin taking
responsibility for some of to traditional routines throughout the day. Some theme based instruction still takes
place, with a greater emphasis on achieving developmentally appropriate academic skills.
The children begin learning how to use scissors as well as write
their own names.
